Zulma has been performing professionally since the age of 7. Her parents through their Puerto Rican culture passed down the love of dance. She studied Jazz at The Dance Academy in Rockville Centre as a teenager. She and another dancer started a dance company named Dance Quest. The dance company performed at bar mitzvahs and weddings with many major bands all over the country. She and another dancer performed with a major band at an important function in St. Marten the show was televised and in the local newspapers. Zulma continues to perform solo and also with a dance partner for special events. Zulma began teaching hip-hop, and hustle classes 13 years ago at Starr Dance Studio in Melville Long Island. She was trained in ballroom dancing and was a teacher at Dance Obsession in Farmingdale Long Island. Zulma is also a certified fitness instructor, and a psychotherapist.
